Question 9 –Dear Pastor, how do I know when I have a call and the area I will be able to function effectively in the 5-fold ministry?

Answer 9: First of all, when you talk about the 5-fold ministry, I presume you are talking about the offices of the apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher and evangelist; I believe that’s what you are talking about. [Ephesians 4:11] Now, to be called into any of those offices, you have to first be called into the ministry and none of those offices will start on day 1. You have to be brought up in the ministry, so you don’t get into any of those offices at once. You’d have to be raised by the Spirit into those offices, so if you want to know whether you have a call, you don’t need to check anything. You would know, because a call is a call; it means God has called you, and if God has called you, you would hear; you would know in your spirit.

No one can tell you that you are called from God. For that calling to ever work, you would have to know that you are called, and until then, even if it’s true that you are called and you don’t know that you are called, it will never work. It will only begin working when you know, and it’s not going to be an assumption; you’ve got to know.
